He was wearing a red Adidas tshirt with Black Adidas shorts. He was drenched in sweat from the match he had just played and won. His messy brown hair looked so perfectly imperfect. He looked so beautiful.
She ignored him and went back to tapping on her BlackBerry. In about 10 minutes, she could see him coming towards her, and she couldn't help but smile. She gave him the hugest grin possible, he shyly smiled. He sat on the chair next to her and she carefully put aside her Skull Candy's. They both started talking. She noticed he had the same BlackBerry as hers, with a yellow skin which he put next to her's which had a pink skin. They spoke about their cities, school, friends, their passion about tennis-basically, they spoke about stuff that any 2 normal shy teenagers would talk about. Turned out, she was from Mumbai and was playing tennis since she was in grade 2, and had turned pro when she was sixteen, which was 2 years ago. He was from the Capital, and had been playing tennis since he was in grade 5, and turned pro when he was seventeen, last year. They told each other about their future career plans, college, university, what they wanted their life to be in 10 years. They clicked instantly. It was like magic.
Her match was scheduled at 2pm, which was about an hour and a half from now, she couldn't leave the stadium because the matches could be rescheduled anytime. So, she had to sit in the cafeteria and wait for her match to be announced, and when she started talking to him time flew. Like, literally. In no time, her match was announced, and she had to leave. She wanted this to last forever, but then everything ends, doesn't it? She gave him a bear hug, and whispered into his ear, 'Everything I'll ever do, I'll do for you' He smiled. She reluctantly left.
After about 2 hours of some serious tennis, she won her match and tried to look for him, but in vain. She asked people around but they didn't know who she was talking about. It was almost like he was an angel, who had come in her life for just a while, and was destined to leave. She tried to look him up on various social networking sites but couldn't locate him. She couldn't believe the fact that they didn't exchange their numbers,or even BBM pins. However, she is glad she met him and spoke to him, even if it was just for a few hours.
Today, 15 years later, she is happily married. She loves her husband more than life. She had never told him about this 'meeting' or her 'angel', but today she did. She was glad she did. He listened patiently, and smiled shyly at some parts.
He turned out to be the same stranger who had touched her life in an unusual way, and he whispered in her ear,'Everything I'll ever do, I'll do for you' And, she smiled an everlasting smile.
Much love,
